Cesc Fabregas sent off for dangerous tackle on Liverpool's Ragnar Klavan

Cesc Fabregas

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas was shown a straight red card for a foul on new Liverpool signing Ragnar Klavan in a pre-season friendly in the US.
Fabregas, 29, went into the challenge with a raised boot and the referee at Pasadena's Rose Bowl had no hesitation.
Chelsea were 1-0 winners on the night, with defender Gary Cahill heading in after 10 minutes following a corner.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed Fabregas went into Liverpool's dressing room after the game to apologise.
New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte also apologised for the challenge but insisted it was not intentional.
"I think that the fatigue sometimes can bring a [player] to go too late," he said.
"I know Fabregas is a good man, a good boy and is not a player to have this type of situation. I'm sorry for him, I'm sorry for the Liverpool player."

Celtic: Kolo Toure excited to work with Brendan Rodgers again

Kolo Toure

New Celtic signing Kolo Toure is looking forward to "something really special" after reuniting with manager Brendan Rodgers.
The 35-year-old defender worked with Rodgers at Liverpool.
"He is a top manager," enthused the Ivory Coast international. "For me, he is one of the best.
"He did a great job at Swansea then he came to Liverpool, did a great job again, and I am sure he will do a great job here."
Having signed a one-year deal on Sunday, Toure, who has also played for Arsenal and Manchester City, is not in Celtic's travelling party for the Champions League trip to Kazakhstan ahead of the first leg of a third-round qualifier against Astana.
"I'm fit," he said. "But of course I have just joined the team and I need time to be ready.
"I can't tell you when but I am ready right now in my mind and I will give everything I have got every day to be able to help my team-mates.
"I just joined the club and there are players who have been working really hard for two months. The manager is the best guy to make the decision. For me, I stick to anything the manager says because every decision he makes is for the good of the team.
"I will be with them in my heart, I will pray for them as well. Definitely we'll do it."

'Inspirational' Toure is key asset

Toure played in the 2006 Champions League final with Arsenal and assistant manager Chris Davies believes the arrival of such an "inspirational" player will be a valuable asset on and off the field.
"He's a top defender with real authority and experience," said Davies.
"We are not only getting a really good player but someone who can inspire players around them to help the team.
"He has been working with a personal trainer so it is an important week physically for him and we will see how it goes."

'Kanye asked Taylor for permission in song but didn't ask me before using naked wax image of me in video?'- Amber Rose

Amber Rose says her ex, Kanye West should have contacted her to seek permission before using a naked wax figure of her in his controversial video 'famous' just the same way he called Taylor Swift to ask for her permission before recording the song.

She said in a sneak peek of The Amber Rose Show:
'So, I say all of that to say, why didn't I get a phone call for using a naked wax figure in your video Kanye? I mean, Taylor gets a call but I don't get a call. So please stay the f**k out of the news so I don't need to talk about your ass anymore.'
Her comments come after she supported the rapper in the ongoing feud between him, his wife Kim Kardashian and singer Taylor Swift.
Speaking on her show, Amber said she believes Kanye West would never use derogatory lyrics about Taylor Swift in his song without asking for her permission as she was by his side during the 2009 VMA's and knew how he felt bad after the media furore that followed his humiliation of the singer on stage.

Sunderland: David Moyes replaces Sam Allardyce as manager

David Moyes

David Moyes has been appointed Sunderland manager on a four-year deal.
The former Everton and Manchester United boss, 53, takes charge at the Stadium of Light after Sam Allardyce left to become England manager.
"I have taken over a big British club, with a great support, and I'm looking forward to working in the Premier League again," said Moyes.
The Scot has been out of work since being sacked by Spanish club Real Sociedad in November.
Allardyce was confirmed as Roy Hodgson's successor with the national team on Friday.

Moyes was 'number one target' - chairman

Sunderland chairman Ellis Short said Moyes was "by far and away first choice" to take control of the Black Cats and that he had tried to recruit him several times before.
"He is a man whose football pedigree speaks for itself and is someone I have long admired," said Short.
"I have spoken with him on many occasions and I have always been hugely impressed.
"He was my number one managerial target for the last five appointments, but his desire to honour existing contracts meant we were not able to bring him to Sunderland previously. To be able to finally welcome him as our manager is fantastic news for the club."

Managerial awards - but tough times at Old Trafford

Moyes, who started his managerial career at Preston North End, was voted LMA Manager of the Year three times during an 11-year spell at Everton.
He succeeded Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United boss on his fellow Scot's recommendation when he retired after a trophy-laden 26 years in charge at Old Trafford.
But despite signing a six-year deal with the then Premier League champions, he was sacked 10 months later and went on to manage Real Sociedad in Spain.
Moyes was tipped to take over at Aston Villa earlier in the summer but ruled himself out of the running and the job went to Roberto Di Matteo.
"I look forward to continuing the good work done by Sam," said Moyes of the Sunderland role.
He will be the club's fourth manager in less than three years, following Gus Poyet, Dick Advocaat and Allardyce.
Former Bolton, Newcastle and West Ham manager Allardyce joined Sunderland in October 2015, with the club second bottom in the Premier League and winless in their opening eight games.
But they recovered to finish 17th, one place above their relegated north-east rivals Newcastle United.

Niger Delta Avengers say they are not in talks with the presidency

Barely 24 hours after President Buhari disclosed that his government is in talks with the Niger Delta militants to stem the tide of attacks on oil installations in the region, notable militant group, Niger Delta Avengers, released a statement on their website saying they are not aware of such talks. Read their statement below ...
"Our attention has been drawn to media report that the President is in touch with Niger Delta agitators including the Niger Delta Avengers but the truth is that we are not aware of any peace talk. If there is any such peace talk, it means the President is talking to their mercenaries set to disturb the genuine struggle of the agitators. President Buhari led government is not sincere to the Nigeria people and their foreign allies. If we are to engage in any peace talk we made it clear that the international community must be part of it. The President know our demands. So they should stop deceiving the international oil companies, the general public and the international community.

Cocaine addiction: Details of a twitter fight that ensued between two girls that seemed irrelevant until NDLEA got involved

This story trended in Nigeria yesterday but I didn't pay it much mind until the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA reacted to it. Here's what happened. A girl named Madonna Djebah @6fthobbit (pictured left) & Uduak @uduakisbae (pictured right) dragged themselves on Twitter over a Stolen mifi and revealed their secrets which range from Drugs (Cocaine & weed) addiction to Lesbianism. It gets more interesting after the cut...

First of all, Madonna accussed Uduak of coming to her home and stealing from her. She said Uduak stole her mifi, (Moblie wifi), money and makeup belonging to her friend. Madonna revealed when she confronted Uduak via phone, she went on to Twitter to indirectly insult her. Hence she had no choice but to publicly call her out and disgrace her.

Uduak responded and admitted to taking the wifi. She said she wanted to get an hotel but Madonna was the one who invited her over. Uduak then threatened Madonna, saying 'You are a big girl but your shouting because of 15k mifi? Madonna needs to shut the fuck up before I send videos of her doing cocaine to her father'. She went on to accuse Madonna of hiding her drug addiction from her parents, her curfew at home is 8pm, etc.

Madonna @6ftHobbit replied saying Uduak was just supposed to spend a night but ended up spending four days. That she stole things and ran away while her friends searched for them. When she attempted to message her in private, she blocked her and everyone who knew of her theft.

Uduak responded by finally agreeing to return the Mifi, saying she l'll send it through an Uber taxi. Madonna revealed it was a lie and said she'll be filing a police report whether Uduak likes it or not. That she was just a broke ass girl who couldn't afford to pay for hotel or a 13k buffet service.

Making matters even worse, Madonna revealed that Uduak is a lesbian who hooked up with another friend on her bed and disturbed her parents with the noise. Se also responded to Uduak's threat of telling her father about her cocaine habit, saying someone already beat her to it and that's why she has a curfew and is on watch 24/7.
To cut the long story short, a friend in on the drama shared a photo of Uduak snorting cocaine, and said the cocaine was bought for N110k and that Uduak snorted N60k out of it. NDLEA revealed they are monitoring developments on the matter.
